Exploring Engineering at the University of Maryland is a week-long summer program for high school women interested in the field of engineering.

Fire Protection Engineering hosted the program on Thursday, July 11th. PhD students Isaac Leventon, Mark McKinnon, Graduate Student Christine Pongratz '13, and undergraduate student Raquel Hakes introduced the campers to Fire Protection Engineering by discussing the study of fire, shared how FPE graduates utilize their degree in the workforce and presented fire demonstrations.
