'Blue Whirl' Continues to Make Headlines
FPE Assistant Professor, Michael Gollner, and his research team, Huahua Xiao and Elaine Oran ( both of UMD Aerospace Engineering Dept), published an article in August, 2016, entitled, "From fire whirls to blue whirls and comustion with reduced pollution," which continues to make headlines, and not only State-side. Several international media (e.g. Japan, Czech Republic) have also published this exciting discovery.
