Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) is a unique major offered in the Clark School of Engineering for students interested in a public-safety-oriented engineering career. With 100% job placement, 50% of FPE students on department/industry scholarships, and an average career salary of $119,000, this is a major you want to check out! Join us on campus for a full two-hour information session and tour to learn about Fire Protection Engineering career pathways, get an inside look at courses in the major, and speak with FPE students, faculty and staff. Current high school, community college, returning learners, and UMD students and their families are all encouraged to attend.
