The Distinguished Alumni Award honors those alumni of the Department of Fire Protection Engineering who have made a contribution to the mission and ideals of the Department.

This award, presented by Siemens to leaders in the areas of fire protection, life safety and security as well as building automation, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), and energy management.

Presented by the international fire safety science company, UL FSRI, for outstanding service to its Council of the Fire Safety Research Institute.
