Job Announcement: CMSE Summer Internship Program (Robotics Camp)
The Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering will hire 8-10 full-time undergraduate interns and 4-6 part-time undergraduate interns to teach programming and how to build a robot to elementary, middle, and high school students using Tetrix/LEGO Mindstorms and powered by NXT/LabVIEW software. Students will receive five (5) weeks paid training and teach students for four (4) weeks during the month of July. Experience teaching, programming, working with LEGO Mindstorms, NXT, and/or LabVIEW preferred; experience working with elementary, middle, high school students is preferred.
Internship dates: June 1 - August 5, 2010 (10 weeks) Work hours are:
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. June 1-July 2, 2010;
8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. July 6 July 30;
9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. August 2 August 5
Weekend work may be required (Monday, July 5 and Sunday July 18) Salary range: $11.00 per hour - $12.50 per hour (the higher salary will be paid based on experiences).
