Overview

The ASTM D92 test standard is designed to identify the flash point of a fuel of interest. Identifying flash point can be useful in spotting potential hazards associated with materials under certain high temperature environments. The standard is used to identify the physical properties of the materials, products, or assemblies in question and determine at what temperature will the object in question flash over with flame. The test is performed using a Cleveland open cup apparatus.

Updated detailed information on this standard will be posted here in the near future.
