Dr. Douglas Blake, the Executive Director (Acting) at the Office of Naval Research and head of its Aviation Force Protection and Integrated Defense Department, will give a presentation regarding this naval organization and how it is re-envisioning naval power for the future. He also will discuss the role universities play in advancing naval science and technology in the 21st century.

Blake is responsible for the Navy's science and technology investment in aircraft, air and surface weapons technology programs. He oversees the Sea Strike Pillar Future Naval Capability initiative, and leads Marine Corps-focused research investments in support of mobility, firepower, command and control, manpower and training, and logistics.
